1."Limited edition - Large prints”

"Limited edition - Large prints” é una categoria di stampe dalle grandi dimensioni prodotte in tiratura limitata.

Ogni illustrazione, realizzata in grafica digitale, viene stampata su tela (canvas) in 50 esemplari, firmati e numerati, dalle dimensioni di: ≈ 200 cm x 70 cm (inclusi i supporti) / ≈ 200 cm x 66 cm (esclusi i supporti). Le tele vengono cucite lungo i margini superiori e inferiori per permettere il passaggio dei sostegni.

L’Installazione consigliata consiste nella posa delle estremità del supporto superiore su due chiodi o ganci.

Disponibilità dal 1 settembre 2012 fino ad esaurimento scorte.

La categoria “Limited edition - Large prints" non esercita l’uso esclusivo sulle grafiche. Quest’ultime potranno essere utilizzate in ulteriori categorie di dimensioni contenute prive di  tiratura limitata.


 Storia delle illustrazioni:

   

1. Han’nya:

Han’nya é una maschera caratteristica del teatro Nō. Tradizionalmente la si usa per raffigurare una donna divenuta demone a causa di uno stato d’animo tormentato e colmo di dolore. La figura del han’nya esprime un dualismo tra rabbia e sofferenza, visibile dalla diversa inclinazione della maschera.

2. Jorōgumo:

Jorōgumo é un ragno divenuto, dopo i 400 anni, Yōkai¹. Quest’ultimo é in grado di trasformarsi in una bellissima donna per adescare prede umane. La particolarità della sua trasformazione é l’incapacità di alterare il suo riflesso.

3. Kiyohime:

Kiyohime era una donna che si trasformò, in preda alla collera, in un enorme serpente.

Abbandonata dal suo amato sulla riva del fiume Hidaka, si lanciò a nuoto all’inseguimento; durante il guado, prese le sembianze di un serpente. Raggiunta la riva opposta, pedinò l’uomo fino ad un vicino monastero e, trovandolo nascosto all’interno di una campana, lo uccise con il suo corpo.

4. Rokurokubi:

Rokurokubi é uno Yōkai¹ dall’aspetto femminile. Possiede la capacità di allungare a dismisura il proprio collo durante la notte.

5 Yuki-onna:

Yuki-onna é lo spirito di una donna morta assiderata nella neve, diventato Yōkai¹. Nonostante si manifesti come una bellissima donna, calma e serena, é noto per essere spietato nell'uccidere viandanti incauti.

6 Seiryū:

Seiryū è un particolare drago di colore azzurro noto nella mitologia Taoista per essere uno dei Shijin: creature spirituali a guardia delle direzioni cardinali. Seiryū, guardiano dell'est, associato alla stagione primaverile, rappresenta inoltre le virtu e simboleggia la creatività. 

¹ Gli Yōkai sono creature del folklore giapponese con poteri sovrannaturali. Sono comunemente malvagi, tuttavia in rare occasioni possono portare fortuna.

"Limited edition - Large prints" is a category of large prints produced in limited edition.

Each illustration, made in digital graphics, is printed on canvas in 50 copies, signed and numbered, with the dimensions of: ≈ 200 cm x 70 cm (including supports) / ≈ 200 cm x 66 cm (excluding supports) . The canvases are sewn along the upper and lower edges to allow the passage of the supports.

The recommended installation consists in laying the ends of the upper support on two nails or hooks.

Availability from 1 September 2021 while stocks last.

The "Limited edition - Large prints" category does not exercise exclusive use on the graphics. The latter may be used in additional categories of small size without limited edition.

HISTORY OF ILLUSTRATIONS:

1. Han'nya:

Han'nya is a characteristic mask of the Noh theater. Traditionally it is used to depict a woman who has become a demon due to a tormented and painful state of mind. The figure of the han'nya expresses a dualism between anger and suffering, visible from the different inclination of the mask.

2. Jorōgumo:

Jorōgumo is a spider that became Yōkai¹ after the age of 400. The latter is able to transform into a beautiful woman to lure human prey. The peculiarity of its transformation is the inability to alter its reflection.

3. Kiyohime:

Kiyohime was a woman who turned, in anger, into a huge snake. Abandoned by her beloved on the bank of the Hidaka River, she swam in pursuit; during the ford, it took the form of a snake. Reaching the opposite bank, he followed the man to a nearby monastery and, finding him hidden inside a bell, killed him with his body.

4. Rokurokubi:

Rokurokubi is a Yōkai¹ with a feminine appearance. It has the ability to stretch its neck out of all proportion during the night.

5 Yuki-onna:

Yuki-onna is the spirit of a dead woman frozen in the snow, who became Yōkai¹. Although she manifests herself as a beautiful woman, calm and serene, she is known to be ruthless in killing unwary travelers.

6 Seiryū:

Seiryū is a particular blue-colored dragon known in Taoist mythology to be one of the Shijin: spiritual creatures guarding the cardinal directions. Seiryū, guardian of the east, associated with the spring season, also represents the virtues and symbolizes creativity.

¹ The Yōkai are creatures of Japanese folklore with supernatural powers. They are commonly evil, however on rare occasions they can bring good luck.
